Dear Paranoids Anonymous

"Who needs terrorists? ...Most people are afraid the country is going in the wrong direction. The Republican candidates only seem to care about a certain minority of people who are frightened by the secular world (and who, in turn, frighten the secular world). The Democratic candidates are scarily making no promises to end the Iraq occupation. .... Foreign terrorists can just sit back and watch us scare the $*&t out of ourselves and each other..."

Wet Kat

I have no fear of drowning.
It's the breathing that's taking all this work.

Dear Child of Mishpocha

I only know your number

Yet I should know your name
Old connections lost of family
you were not to blame.

I was photographed today...
Yet no tatoo, no Auschwitz hell to pay.
(A lawyer eased my fear)

Adonai.... teach me to hear....

Beauty Without Cruelty

(Photo From Brouwer Fall Collection 2005)

Animal Lovers & Fashionphiles eyed each other suspiciously during the PETA-Sponsored 2007 Marc Bouwer Show.

The cruelty-free collection (not even wool)
brought out Richard Belzer with his little bitty dog (BeBe...)

News Break: Kat Auditions

Several weeks ago, I began volunteering on Saturdays at a local community theater, helping with the set construction for "She Stoops To Conquer." The theater building was originally an orthodox synagogue back in the 50's. Nice to have somewhere to go on the Sabbath again...

And now I've auditioned for two distinctly different plays. One is about two comediennes and their outrageously comical look on society (Parallel Lives by Kathy Najimy & Mo Gaffney, directed by Mary Lou Phipps-Winfrey). The other is an accounting from those who met the historical Jesus and how knowing him affected their lives (The Witnesses, written & directed by Phil Speary).

I would like to be a part of both and as teachable as a Katie Kat can be.

C'est intéressant... no??

and how dichotomously meshuganeh of me.

Post Script: Four other actresses were picked for Parallel Lives, but I'm in the ensemble for The Witnesses!!!

Until Next Newsbreak... Vivent le théâtre!!
